Child wool clothes can be a great option for keeping kids warm without feeling bulky or hot. They are naturally insulating and can be worn year-round in any weather. And when you buy them from a quality brand, they’ll last longer than cheap, synthetic options that get ripped or stained easily.

Ella’s Wool – This Etsy seller sells thicker ribbed knit pants that are designed to grow with your child, making them a good investment that should last more than one season. They come in a variety of colors and sizes from 3 months to 12 years.
Iksplor – This small American-made company makes a range of merino wool base layer sets in newborn through size 12. They are made from a lightweight, breathable merino wool fabric that is very comfortable for your baby to wear and has a nice weight to it.
They are also designed with a yoga waistband and long limb cuffs that can be rolled up or down to extend their wearing season. They are made with a thinner merino wool (195 GSM) than the others on this list, but they still provide plenty of warmth and can be worn in colder climates without being overly bulky or hot.
The ribbed bottoms are stretchy and move well with your baby, making them ideal for those who tend to bend down. They’re available in a few different sizes and sell for around $70.

They’re made from a slightly lighter weight of merino wool (195 GSM) and are less expensive than the others on this list. They’re also hand-me-down ready and easy to rinse and dry, which means you won’t have to wash them as often.
